SMA celebrated World Fair Trade at an assembly last Friday. Fairtrade America donated pens, cards, pins, bookmarks & stickers as handouts to all the grades! The Fair Trade Club put on a skit for the school and the 10 Principles of Fair Trade were displayed. The highlight was Ben & Jerry's Fair Trade Vanilla Ice-Cream! Everyone enjoyed the ice-cream on the field! A huge shout out to Ephraim from Ben & Jerry's & Jason from Fairtrade America & to our committee/club members who continue to educate the students about how we can make an impact with our shopping choices. ...
