January Alum of the Month: Shelby Cantonwine Kolligian - Class of 2004

I attended St. Martin of Tours Academy from kindergarten to 8th grade as a part of the class of 2004. There are so many happy memories from my time at St. Martin from after school sports, student council, Girl Scouts, to Christmas programs. The teachers at SMA along with Workshop Way® fostered a learning environment that promoted independence, responsibility, and time management.

My years at St. Martin promoted a love for education. I vividly remember yearly projects, learning about the planets, memorizing multiplication tables, building atoms out of candy, attending Astro Camp, and science fair projects at St. Martin. Workshop Way® allowed me to build a strong work ethic, critical thinking skills, and project management skills that have followed me throughout my education and into my career.

After St. Martin of Tours, I graduated from the Academy of Our Lady of Peace in 2008 and then attended the University of San Francisco and graduated with a B.A. in Psychology and a Minor in Chemistry. At USF, I worked as a Teaching Assistant for Research Design in the Psychology department. After USF, I went on to receive my Master’s in Public Health from the University of Southern California in 2014.

This September, I married my husband at Corpus Christi Church in Pacific Palisades, California. Currently, I live in San Francisco, CA working for a large consulting firm focusing on health care.
