St. Mary, Star of the Sea School

On Monday, November 12 our school celebrated Veterans Day🇺🇸️ We had our beloved Grandma Pam's brother, Major Al Harvard, Retired Army, address our students and visitors.

He served in the Army for 22+ years. His military awards include 3 Bronze Star Medals, 2 Meritorious Service Medals, 4 Army Commendation Medals, and the St. Barbara's Medal for Artillery Excellence. Major Harvard's commands included Company Commander of 2 Basic Combat Training units, Battery Commander in HAWK Air Defense Missile Battalion, Infantry Detachment Commander in Vietnam, & Director of the Low-Altitude missile school at Redstone Arsenal, AL.
