Located at 4551 56th Street, Blessed Sacrament Parish School welcomes prospective families to tour our joyful, safe learning environment for grades TK-8. Admissions information and forms are available on our website www.skda-sd.org We are pleased to report that grades 3, 5, and 6 are quickly filling up, so please do not delay in contacting our main office 619 582-3862 or the school website for admissions information. School will be closed for Easter break March 30-April 8.
During the week off, please pardon our construction noise. Contractors will begin the next phase of campus improvements, helping us prepare for our grand re-opening in August as St. Katharine Drexel Academy. While the physical improvements continue, the Class of 2018 prepares to be the final graduates of Blessed Sacrament School on June 6. I am proud to report a 100% acceptance rate to the Catholic high schools of their choice! Sixty percent of the Class of 2018 will attend Academy of Our Lady of Peace, Saint Augustine High school, and Mater Dei Catholic High School. Forty percent will enter local high schools near their homes. Thus continues the excellent academic legacy of Blessed Sacrament School.
On March 28, our school was recognized for achievement by the American Heart Association. Led by grade 4 ambassadors, students raised over $4,000.00 to save lives in the Jump Rope for Heart program during the month of February. The health and fitness theme will continue to play a role in our school community through spring. Please be on the lookout for our students, parents and staff running and walking through the El Cerrito neighborhood each Thursday afternoon…The “Ankle Express” team is keeping heart healthy and fit by running and walking together. Honk and cheer our team on as they pass your home or business!
