Three second graders at St. Gregory the Great Catholic School worked a lemonade stand this past summer to earn money to donate to the new St. Gregory the Great Catholic Preschool. The Preschool recently opened on February 26. Maddie, Clare, and Ellarose made homemade chocolate chip cookies, brownies, and fresh lemonade for their thirsty customers. The three girls have been watching the new Preschool being built for the past year and wanted to contribute to its opening. Along with Mrs. Amy Igou, Preschool Director, the girls shopped online and used their lemonade stand proceeds to purchase age-appropriate toys. “We wanted to make sure that we chose things for both boys and girls,” said Maddie. They chose a cash register with a basket of groceries, a dollhouse, and an Imaginext Serpent Strike Pyramid Challenge with the $120 they raised. We are proud of their entrepreneurial initiative and amazing attitude of service!
