St. Pius X School earns 1st and 2nd place in SIFMA Foundation’s “The Stock Market Game” program

Each year, the Fourth Grade students at St. Pius X School in Chula Vista participates in The Stock Market Game in the Fall and Spring sessions. The teams have $100,000.00 to buy stocks to build their portfolios to see which team can create the most money in a 10-week period. This school year, two teams from St. Pius X School earn 1st and 2nd place in the Fall session competing against 51 other teams throughout the San Diego region.

The SIFMA Foundation’s acclaimed The Stock Market Game™ program is an online simulation of the global capital markets that engages students grades 4-12 in the world of economics, investing and personal finance, and prepares them for financially independent futures. More than 600,000 students take part every school year across all 50 states. The Stock Market Game has reached 17 million students since its inception in 1977. The SIFMA Foundation is dedicated to fostering knowledge and understanding of the financial markets for individuals of all backgrounds.
