St. Francis School participates in the annual Zaner Bloser handwriting competition because we feel it is an important skill to develop. We have a school competition and the winners from each grade are entered at the state level competition. This year Erynne Mangasat, one of my seventh-grade students, won the state grade level competition. Her entry will be included in national level competition, the results of which will be published in May. Along with the recognition, she received a big medal, the teacher received a glass diamond shaped award, and the school receives a $100 gift coupon to purchase Zaner Blozer items.
