For 74 years, Stella Maris Academy has been able to boast of many of its great academic accomplishments. Just this past year, several of our junior high students participated in the Academic Junior High Decathlon and placed first in Literature and second in Social Studies. The school, even throughout this past year and a half, has continued to foster our students’ minds, bodies, and souls. One way the school has invested in our students’ bodies is through their most recent school and parish-wide project. On Wednesday, May 5th, Stella Maris Academy blessed and cut the ribbon to their new indoor sports gym. In this gym, the students will be able to participate in sports like basketball, volleyball, badminton, and numerous other indoor sport activities. The students have already been able to play outdoor in the courtyard but opening up the former “Star Center” and converting it into this beautifully remodeled gym allows for further possibilities. Perhaps this is the genesis of a new sports team? All for the glory of God! Way to go, Stella Maris Academy team! Stay Strong Stella!
